COMPARING COLLABORATIVE CAD MODELLING PATTERNS OF HIGH-PERFORMING AND LOW-PERFORMING TEAMS

چکیده
Abstract The development of cloud-based Computer-aided design (CAD) enabled real-time CAD collaboration between multiple designers. While this technology has great potential to change the way work is done, it still little explored. This paper presents a case with two high-performing and low-performing three-member teams monitored non-invasive methods (log data) during six-week project. results show that focused more on editing assembly, while creating part. Furthermore, tended perform consecutive deleting actions transition classes after performing viewing actions. Two modelling approaches which lead high-quality models were identified. One approach characterized by frequent use transitions Organizing-Design (collaborative actions) classes, other creating, reversing classes. Presented allow gain insight into sequential patterns led generation model better understand process.

Collaborative group testing benefits high- and low-performing students.
We used collaborative group testing in a veterinary physiology course (65 students) to test the hypothesis that all students (e.g., high-performing and low-performing students of each group) benefit from collaborative group testing. In this format, students answered questions in the traditional format as individuals. Immediately after completing the exam as individuals, students answered the sa...

This paper reports on a qualitative study designed to uncover the practices that differentiate programs producing high rates of competitive employment from those with low rates. The study found 13 differentiating practice factors in three areas: building consumer interest in working, getting a job, and maintaining a job. The congruence between these findings and current definitions of "best pra...
متن کاملHigh performing work teams: does emotional intelligence matter?
This paper explores the link between emotional intelligence and work team performance. Specifically, the aim this paper is to test the proposition that teams composed of individuals with high emotional intelligence will perform at a higher level than teams composed of individuals with low emotional intelligence. In the study outlined in this paper, longitudinal performance data were gathered fr...
متن کاملHigh Versus Low Performing Virtual Design Teams: A Preliminary Analysis of Communication
One way that firms have adapted to competitive pressures in today’s global marketplace is to use asynchronous communication technologies to support virtual project teams. To better understand the effectiveness of these dispersed teams, we compare the asynchronous communication transcripts of high and low performing virtual teams working on the early stages of software design. We also compare th...
